Our Story
How we got here
Every wedding is really the middle of a longer story. Before Autumn & Roman say their vows, here's a little of ours — how it started, where it's been, and the question that brought us to January.
How we met
It started the way the best things usually do — by accident. A friend of a friend, an ordinary get-together neither of us almost went to, and two people who ended up talking in the corner long after everyone else had drifted home.
Neither of us remembers exactly what we talked about that night. We both remember not wanting it to end.
The first date
The first official date was nothing fancy: dinner somewhere casual, a walk that took twice as long as it needed to, and a goodbye that turned into another hour of standing by the car, still talking.
By the second date we’d stopped counting. Somewhere along the way, “your place or mine” quietly became ours.
Along the way
A few of the moments that got us from “nice to meet you” to “save the date.”

We meet
A mutual friend, a crowded kitchen, and a conversation that outlasted the party.

First road trip
A long weekend, a shared playlist, and the discovery that we travel well together.

A home of our own
Keys, moving boxes, and the slow, happy work of building a life in the same place.
- 2024
The four-legged addition
The family grew by one very good dog, who has opinions about everything.

The question
A quiet evening, a ring, and an easy yes. (More on that below.)
The engagement
It happened on an evening that was supposed to be unremarkable — which, of course, was the plan all along. A favorite spot, a desert sunset doing its usual show-off routine, and one of us suddenly very nervous for no obvious reason.
Then a knee, a ring, a question — and an easy, immediate yes.
We called our families before the sun was fully down. We’ve been planning ever since.
